One wrong move is a collection of short stories with one common theme; one bad decision could change the course of your life. This is a piece of one of those stories.
It all started December 23, 2001. It was the worst argument they ever had. I can’t believe you are making such a big deal over nothing, screamed Ann. What makes you think this argument is nothing? You always blow everything I say, and how I am feeling off. Why do you always want to leave during an argument Ann? I want to talk now.
These arguments had become the norm for this newly married couple, but today would change their lives forever. You see Parker and Ann had only known each other for a short period of time. The couple met one sunny fall afternoon by chance. She was walking in front of her office building pacing back and forth talking to her best friend Rhonda on the phone. She was laughing it up never realizing that she had an admirer. Parker had been watching her every move for weeks. He had been fantasizing about talking to her, going on dates, getting married, having babies his mind was so far gone. He just didn’t know how to get up the nerve to say something to Ann to break the ice. As luck would have it Ann was not paying attention to her purse on the edge of the bench; when she walked past it pacing the contents of her Chanel bag spilled out, Parker was right there to lend a hand.
What did you think? How did it make you feel? Does this have the potential to be a great story?
